Job Purpose:
To create graphically appealing menu pages and user interface designs, customized for each of our individual hotel customers, and to enhance the functionality of our systems by developing new applications and features using HTML, PHP, JavaScript, video editing software and other tools.
Job Description:
You have a rare opportunity to join our small and growing financially stable company with a well:established customer base. We need your unique combination of graphic design talent and coding and development skills to continuously enhance our look and feel and feature set we present to hotel guests via high definition TVs in the guest rooms. You will also help maintain and update our company website, occasionally develop electronic and printed sales and marketing materials, and assist with customer technical support issues when needed. You must work well in a small team environment where everyone has defined primary duties but will jump in to assist with other areas when necessary.
Job Duties:
:Graphic design and creation of menu pages for interactive hotel television services
:Develop additional add:on features and functionality using PHP and other scripting tools
:Create walled garden websites with specific functions for use by hotel guests via television
:Maintain and update company website
:Create and produce company marketing materials occasionally, such as postcards, brochures, flyers and signage
:Answer and assist with incoming support calls
:Participate in 24:hour on:call customer support rotation
:Assist with operation and maintenance of company computer network
:Communicate with customers and sales staff to understand and define opportunities for new features and functionality
Qualifications:
:Experience with IPTV and user interface design would be a major plus
:Graphic design experience and talent, both electronic and print
:Website development experience
:High proficiency in HTML, PHP, JavaScript, Flash, video editing
:Expert user of Adobe Creative Suite applications: Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Premier
:Proficient user of Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint
:Working knowledge of TCP/IP, Ethernet, WiFi configuration and functionality
:Familiarity with basic PC hardware configuration and troubleshooting
:Ability to multi:task while meeting deadlines and working well under pressure
:Above average creativity and problem:solving skills, with the ability to translate customer requests into solutions
:Excellent written and oral communication skills in the English language
:College education in graphic design, computer science or related field
:Ability to occasionally work weekends and/or holidays to complete projects or perform emergency customer support
:Ability to occasionally lift and move items weighing up to 60 pounds
:Valid drivers license with a clean record
